What is France?

People from both sides of the argument on the issue of immigrants (USA) has been using the French national team on their own agenda. Before you questioned the "Frenchness" of the team. Let me remind you that Napoleon himself was an Italian. His real name was Napoleon di Buonparte. His father was known for his anti-French stand on occupation of Corsica. This is the real "France", a melting pot.... it has been that way before it became a Republic.

And I heard some Americans using that as a form of pro-immigrants. Let me remind you that the original big three of French footballers(Zidane, Platini and Kopa) were sons of immigrants.. Zidane was a son of an Algeria immigrants while Platini was that of an Italian. Kopa was Polish. Alexandre Villaplane was the captain of France's first ever World Cup team in 1930. He was born in Algeria. Unfortunately, he later became a Nazi collaborator, who was known as "SS Mohammed" for his cruelty during the war. This French immigrant thing isn't new at all!
