-- South China started as a club for Chinese players. In 1981, they relaxed its policy. However, my entire team almost consisted of ethnic Chinese players. Most of the foreign players did not stay long enough, but a few made honourable mention.
-- Cristiano Cordeiro (高尼路) is the only foreign player on the All-time team. He did becme a naturalized player and played for Hong Kong. Nicky Butt, Willie Johnston, Mateja Kezman and Neto are the most famous players playing for the club, but they did not play long enough. Neto and Willie Johnston played poorly while at the club.
-- I did not select Wu Kwong Hung (胡國雄)because he only played one season with South China.
-- I picked Li Haiqiang (李海强) because of his contribution to South China's AFC Cup run in 2019.
-- The "Four Aces of South China" were Ho Cheung Yau (何祥友), Mok Chun Wah (莫振華), Yiu Cheuk Yin (姚卓然) and Wong Chi Keung (黃志強). Because of them, I do not have space for attackers such as Tim Bradbury (巴貝利) and Wu Qunli (吳群立).
